Why come to church?
THE CHURCH HUB OF ENCOURAGEMENT AND GROWTH
Because it helps us love God more deeply through worship, teaching, and a supportive community.
Going to church offers a supportive community where individuals can grow spiritually, receive guidance, and participate in service and outreach. It provides opportunities for worship, reflection, and learning, while also celebrating life’s milestones and encouraging personal accountability. Engaging in church activities helps align one’s life with spiritual values and purpose.
FAQS
-
THE SCRIPTUREWe believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a divine revelation given to humanity. It serves as the infallible guide for faith and conduct, holding authority above personal conscience and human reason, though it is never in conflict with reason (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12). The Bible provides truth and wisdom for living a life aligned with God's will and is central to understanding His purpose for us.

ABOUT GODWe believe in one God who has revealed Himself in different ways throughout history: as the Father in creation, as the Son in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in renewing believers' hearts. We affirm the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, conceived by the Holy Spirit, who is the one true God (Romans 9:5; 1 John 5:20). The same God of the Old Testament and Jesus Christ are unified in the Incarnation: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us" (John 1:1,14). As stated in 1 Timothy 3:16, "Great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, received up into glory." Jesus Christ embodies the same attributes as the God of the Old Testament, with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit representing different aspects or roles of the one God. All the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him (Colossians 2:9). We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, as promised in the Old Testament and fulfilled by Jesus after His resurrection and ascension (Joel 2:28-29; John 7:37-39; 14:16-26; Acts 2:1-4, 16-18). Speaking in tongues is a sign of this baptism (Acts 2:4, 10:44-46, 19:6) and a way the Holy Spirit empowers us to witness (Acts 1:8) and develop a character pleasing to God (Galatians 5:22-25).

THE CHURCH AND SALVATIONWe believe that the church is the body of Jesus Christ, a dwelling place for God through the Spirit, and is appointed to carry out the great commission (Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 24:46-48). We hold that man was originally created good and upright, as God intended when He said, “Let us make man in Our image, after Our likeness.” However, through voluntary disobedience, man fell, and redemption is only possible through Jesus Christ (Genesis 1:26-31; 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21). Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, though our works will influence our rewards in eternity (2 Corinthians 5:10). We affirm the practice of water baptism by immersion in the Name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38). This act symbolizes being buried with Christ and rising to a new life, as instructed in the Scriptures for those who have genuinely repented (Acts 8:16; 10:48; 19:6; 22:16; Romans 6:1-11). We believe that all members of the body of Christ are called to live holy lives, avoiding sin as exemplified by Jesus Christ in the Scriptures. We are encouraged to serve God with wisdom, steering clear of extremism, asceticism, and regulations that may seem wise but lack real value in controlling indulgence (Colossians 2:17-23). We expect the return of Jesus to gather His Saints to Heaven (1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 2 Thessalonians 2:1). We believe in God’s power to heal our physical bodies, as healing is part of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ who has borne our griefs and sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). Jesus promised that believers would lay hands on the sick and they would recover (Mark 16:18). The sick should be anointed with oil in Jesus’ Name to fulfill this promise (John 14:13; Psalm 103:1-4; Luke 9:1-3; 10:9; 1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14-16).
